BGIS acquires AESM in Australia

BGIS is very pleased to announce the acquisition of Australian essential services maintenance known as AESM, a provider of fire life safety solutions for existing industrial and commercial buildings across the state of Victoria, Australia. AESM offers a comprehensive range of fire protection solutions including fire safety inspection, fire extinguisher testing, fire blanket testing, fire sprinkler system testing, exit & emergency light testing, fire hose reels testing, fire hydrant inspection, fire door inspection and commercial fire alarm maintenance.

AESM’s team of 70 employees is led by Mario Apela, Managing Director and Dave Ellerton, Director, Operations with the head office located at Knoxfield, east of Melbourne with a satellite office in Geelong. The capabilities include electrical technicians, portable/ passive technicians, wet fire technicians, compliance managers and business support services. AESM services close to 3,000 sites in Victoria across the key sectors of commercial property agents and landlords, residential and strata, aged care, and retail and leisure.
