We are proud to announce the completion of our three-year Stretch level Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), marking an important milestone for BGIS. This achievement is the culmination of a significant amount of work by many key stakeholders across the business. Our approach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander development and engagement is practical and outcomes focused, which includes creating meaningful job opportunities, supporting Aboriginal-owned businesses, engaging with community and providing skills training. Importantly, we share the successes and outcomes of our Stretch RAP with our employees, clients and suppliers.

Of the 140 separate initiatives in our RAP, we are pleased to report a 91.4% completion rate across the four categories of Respect, Relationships, Opportunities and Governance. Highlights include:

• Spend with Indigenous businesses 4.23% of total supplier spend.
• Established 10+ formal partnerships with Indigenous -led organisations.
• Attained employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment average of 3%.
• Collaborated with 6+ clients on joint RAP initiatives.
• 100% of employees completed formal cultural awareness training during induction.
• Celebrations for NAIDOC week and National Reconciliation Week.
• Regular RAP committee meetings driving engagement and representation from across the organisation.
• Strong Indigenous Engagement visual identity and communications program to align organisation to the importance of our RAP.

As we transition between RAPs, we remain committed to delivering our current initiatives while identifying opportunities to enhance our program. A strong focus will be on strategic talent acquisition, with particular emphasis on creating employment pathways for young people through partnerships, apprenticeships and internships.
