Facilities Services for University of Canberra Hospital

University of Canberra Hospital

BGIS delivers comprehensive facilities services at the University of Canberra Hospital (UCH), a major rehabilitation centre. Our 15-year contract includes the provision of essential trade services such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, UPS, generator, and BMS controls. Our skilled technical teams, paired with our strong service delivery model, ensure seamless operations, enhancing the hospital’s ability to provide top-tier care and rehabilitation.

UCH provides 140 inpatient beds and 75-day places, with therapy spaces that foster independence in daily life. Facilities include kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, driver training, a hydrotherapy pool, gyms, and sensory gardens. We ensure UCH’s infrastructure is maintained for optimal environments that support patient recovery and independence.

BGIS has a governance framework in place as this is a comprehensive contract.  Established meetings and ongoing reporting against performance, including Critical Success Factors, Key Performance Indicators and Standards of Delivery are in place.  We have a strong and collaborative working partnership with ACT Health and its delivery arm, Canberra Health Services.
