Rooftop Solar and Battery Energy Project
BGIS | HFM has undertaken feasibility studies, renewable energy roadmaps and solar/ battery/ EV installations for warehouses and cold storage spaces. Perth Markets is Western Australia’s only wholesale central trading market for fresh food. We have been involved in this landmark renewable energy project from inception to completion, providing comprehensive engineering and technical support throughout all phases.
Our Scope of Work Included:
- Initial Feasibility Study – Evaluated technical and financial viability.
- Business Case & Investment Decision Report – Supported client decision-making with detailed analysis.
- Detailed Engineering Design – Completed by our in-house Chartered NER engineers.
- Tender Documentation – Developed comprehensive technical specifications for procurement.
- Tendering Technical Support – Assisted with technical evaluations and clarifications.
- Project Management Support – Provided ongoing engineering advice and oversight.
- Final Inspection & Sign-Off – NER engineer-certified commissioning and compliance.
- Ongoing Support – Includes system monitoring, fault detection, LGC generation, and energy trading advisory.
The system has a total capacity of 5 MW of solar PV and 2 MWh of battery storage. It occupies 22,238 square metres of rooftop space and consists of 10,000 solar panels rated at 500 watts each. The installation is expected to generate approximately 7.67 GWh of electricity annually, resulting in an estimated carbon offset of 3,910 tonnes of CO₂ each year.
